Dive into 1000 years of history

Abbey tour - photo Viorella Luciana
During spring, the Zeeuws Museum is once again organising guided tours of Middelburg Abbey. Would you like to join us?
Middelburg Abbey
The Abbey is home to more than a thousand years of history. Here, there are stories to tell about the medieval city with its old scales, about slavery, about the Second World War, the Four Freedoms Award, about organs, old graves, about herbs and plane trees, and about monks, canons, lay brothers and Maneblussers! In short: history, excitement and information for everyone.
Abbey tour
The tour is in Dutch and suitable for children aged 10 and above. We would love it if you would share your photos of the tour with us. You can do this by tagging @zeeuwsmuseum on Instagram or Facebook and using #zeeuwsmuseum.
