Route

The museum is located in the Abbey in the centre of Middelburg. A good orientation point is the Abbey tower: the Lange Jan.

Buses

Line 50 from Hulst, get off at the Station stop. Line 52 from Domburg and lines 55, 56 and 58 from Flushing (Vlissingen), get off at the Nieuwe Haven stop.

By car

Middelburg is approximately 127 kilometres from Rotterdam. Take the A16 and then the A17 in the direction of Roosendaal. Then take the A58 for approximately 60 kilometres before taking exit 39 to Middelburg.

Middelburg is approximately 100 kilometres from Breda. Take the A58 for approximately 60 kilometres before taking exit 39 to Middelburg.

Middelburg is approximately 95 kilometres from Antwerp. Take the A4 and then the A58, taking exit 39 to Middelburg. You can also reach the centre of Middelburg from Antwerp via the Westerschelde tunnel. For more information visit www.westerscheldetunnel.nl.

Parking

Because parking around the Abdijplein is restricted to a maximum of one hour, we advise you to use one of the car parks close to the museum, which are indicated with signs on the route the museum. The car parks are open 24 hours per day, seven days per week.

Sundays and public holidays

Parking – including street parking, parking lots and car parks ­­– is free throughout Middelburg on Sundays and national holidays.

Disabled parking

Holders of a disabled parking permit (GPK) enjoy unlimited free parking both in disabled parking spaces and paid parking spaces.
