ZEEUWS MUSEUM PRIVACY STATEMENT 2019

The Zeeuws Museum’s mission is to connect new generations with Zeeland's heritage. The Zeeuws Museum paints a rich picture of Zeeland’s history and culture. Historical developments in various fields such as work, leisure, faith, science and art come to life in our collection.

This privacy statement explains how we process your personal data.

Which personal data do we process?
When you visit our museum, lend or donate to the collection or purchase products, you provide us with certain data. Depending on your relationship with the Zeeuws Museum and the purpose for which the data is required, the data we process may include the following:

  • Name and address (possibly CV)
  • Email address
  • Telephone number
  • IBAN
  • Photos
  • Data about donations and gifts to the collection
  • Technical data such as IP address

For which purposes does the Zeeuws Museum process your personal date?

We process only the data necessary for the purposes set out below, in line with legal requirements. If we already have personal data in our possession, it will be used for the same purposes.

On the basis of consent

When necessary, we will request your consent, for example to send you our monthly newsletter or to send you marketing materials via email. You can always withdraw your consent at any time via a link in the email or newsletter. We make use of cookies when you visit our website. You can control this via the settings.

For example, to allow you to order items from our websites and to make use of all the functionality and services on the websites or to process donations or loans and to provide the associated services.

How long is your personal data stored?

Data that we process is not stored for longer than is necessary or to comply with a legal requirement.

To prevent abuse, when making a request to view your data, we request that you send a copy of a valid proof of identity. Do not forget to mask your citizen service number (BSN) and your photo on the copy.

We may make changes to this privacy statement (2019) from time to time.
